  5.            README for sgi inst-able images of sgi software packages

  8.         This directory provides a "one-stop inst `shop'" location of 
  9.         symlinks to all the sgi inst-able images of sgi software 
  10.         available on SGI's Developer's Toolbox CD.  The following 
  11.         software images are currently included:

  14.         gvi:             Viewkit-based GUI to the vi(1) editor.
  15.  
  16.         uucpVadmin:      UUCP vadmin tool.
  17.  
  18.         speech_eoe:      beta sw of speech eoe environment.
  19.         speech_dev:      beta sw of speech dev environment.
  20.  
  21.         xcontact:        Address Book and/or Contact Management sw.
  22.  
  23.         abifaq:          mips ABI porting Q&A on-line reader.
  24.  
  25.         DevDriver:       two SGI manuals:  the IRIX Device Driver
  26.                          Programming Guide and the IRIX Device 
  27.                          Driver Reference Pages.

  29.         inst_dev:        includes 'swpkg', a Motif-based tool used to 
  30.                          package software for inst, SGI's installation 
  31.                          program.  swpkg provides an environment for 
  32.                          creating and updating spec and idb files and
  33.                          running gendist(1M).
  34.         sgihelp_dev:     among other things, contains gendist(1M), 
  35.                          offering a way to go all the way to "instable" 
  36.                          images for books specifically.
  37.         dev_books:       sgihelp_dev's brings online help to life.
  38.         
  39.         oasisIII:        book for the sifttree help button.

  42.         The actual images exist in their own respective subdirs/trees,
  43.         but it was felt including all of them in one location would
  44.         also be useful.
